Riley, if you didn’t know, is a former swimmer turned conservative activist, and on Friday, she took to X to react after a Minnesota softball team won a state championship with a transgender player. I won’t share the post here, but basically, Riley blasted the school for turning off the comments on their post, saying it was “to be expected” because of the player’s gender identity.

Simone called the post “truly sick.” “All of this campaigning because you lost a race,” she wrote, seemingly alluding to the 200-yard freestyle at the 2022 NCAA Championships. Riley tied in fifth place with swimmer Lia Thomas, who identifies as transgender. “Straight up sore loser.”

“You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive, OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports,” the 7-time Olympic gold medalist continued. “Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!! But instead… You bully them…”

“One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!” Simone added, before telling the 5’5″ ex-swimmer to “bully someone [her] own size, which would ironically be a male,” she quipped.

The posts were met with over 40 million total views and widespread praise from fans, with many celebrating and thanking Simone for her support in the comments.

“this is why Simone will always be the GOAT,” one Reddit user wrote, earning nearly 2,000 upvotes. “Aside from her (incredible) gymnastics, I’ve never heard a bad take from her,” commented another. “She’s honest and articulate and doesn’t step over the line to being rude.”

“she really said ‘get good.’ amazing,” a third person wrote. While someone else said, “Get her ass, Simone! 🤸🏿‍♀️”

“If Simone Biles called me out for being a terrible human, I would simply dissolve into the atmosphere,” one more added.

I’ll just leave it at this:
